InClouds. Journal Shortlisted for the Junior Design Awards 2026

We couldn't be more excited to share the news that we officially made the shortlist for the Junior Design Awards 2026. We’re in the running for Best Children's Stationery Brand/Product, and just seeing our name on that list feels a bit surreal.

What are the Junior Design Awards?

If you aren't familiar with the Junior Design Awards, they're hosted by Junior Magazine and are recognised as one of the most respected awards in the parenting and children's industry. Now in their 15th year, the process is incredibly thorough. The judging panel - made up of actual parents, designers, buyers, and industry specialists - spends weeks reviewing all the applications. Just getting on their radar is a really lovely nod for a small brand like ours.

What makes it even cooler is looking at the other brands in our category. We’re up against two amazing names in the children's wellness and mindfulness space: The HappySelf Journal, and Root and Grow.

It’s a whole vibe, not just a journal

When I first started creating the InClouds. Journal, the goal was simple: I just wanted to make something tactile that would help kids step away from screens, process their daily emotions, and find a bit of quiet space to create.

My aim was to make journaling an inviting and genuinely cool thing to do. Let's be honest, for some kids, the idea of keeping a journal can feel a bit boring, like an obligation. But with the colors, design, and assets we used, the InClouds. Journal doesn’t just ask kids to write; it invites them to play, reflect, and keep their most precious memories in one place. We’ve actually created a "whole kit" experience that feels like opening a gift every single day.

I spent months obsessing over content and design, paper quality, and all the little details to make sure these journals would genuinely resonate with kids. Seeing that effort recognized by a panel of judges feels like a giant, reassuring high-five that we’re on the right track.

Thank you

The biggest thank you goes, of course, to all the families who saw the same thing and decided to buy one for their children, or the children they care about. Every time you order a journal, send us a nice review, or share a photo of your kid using our pages, you give us the motivation to keep going.

The final results will be published in September, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks for coming along on this journey with us.
